Welcome from the Cheadle Civic Heritage Trust. The Trust is both a Civic Society and a Buildings Preservation Trust. Its aim is to help improve Cheadle and its surrounding area - roughly the area within the former Cheadle Rural District Council boundary - in a way which is sensitive to the heritage of the town and area. Here you'll find information on what the Trust is for, articles about some of the things it has been involved in so far, along with details of its history and aims.

We are not a group that is against anything new - that could not be further from the truth - but we do believe that changes and development needs to be sensitive and appropriate to enhance or to protect the town. There is no need to add to the town just for the sake of it.

There are many reasons why the Trust was formed and there are a great many things that make up what the Trust would like to do. Anyone can become involved, ideally bringing your skills to help, some time or equipment or resources, to be used for the benefit of the town and area. Please contact us to talk through how we can all help together.
